Student Basecamp

Basecamp 2017 is coming for all 7th-12th-grade students!

Summer can be filled with so many great activities. But you don’t want to miss out on the best event of the year where you will have the time of your life hanging out with friends, competing in challenging activities, experiencing intense white water rafting, and much more, all the while being stretched daily with God’s Word. Basecamp is life-changing, but only for those who area part of it.

So, sign up now to secure your spot for Basecamp 2017. The cost for a week at Basecamp 2017, located in Grand Lake, CO is only $200 per student.

A parent meeting for all going to Basecamp 2017 will take place Sunday, June 11th following the worship service.

Young Adults: Volunteer at JPUN Concert

The Jefferson Park United Neighbors association’s annual summer concert at Jefferson Park, just around the corner from Riverside church. We’ll be handing out free water to families and young couples that live and work near our church. Come out and meet our neighbors, enjoy the great music and invite people to church. Meet at the FLC at 4pm. Concert is from 5:30 to 7pm. The concert is free and there will be food trucks and vendors onsite.

Camp Highside

Camp Highside 2017 - July 9 – 14,  Sunday – Friday. 4-6th Grade.

To be “All In” requires the courage to ‘go big or go home!’ A sold-out relationship with Jesus Christ requires you to be “All In” – body, mind, and spirit!

Be sure to register your preteen for Camp Highside 2017 where we will learn how to be “All In!” Come experience the fun of camp through games, friendships, worship, rafting, and much more! Invite a friend to come with you and register today!

Cost for the week of Camp Highside which is located at Camp Riverside near Grand Lake, Colorado is only $195.00 by May 31. Registrations submitted after June 1 will be $215.00. Register below.

Indonesian Mission Trip Meeting

Mission Trip: Saltillo Mexico

Mexico Mission Trip is Accepting Applications

We are taking applications for a student mission trip to Saltillo, Mexico on August 6 -13.  We will take 20 students and 10 adult leaders.  We are partnering with Kidz at Heart International to serve and minister to over 600 children in that area.  The cost is $450.00.  The deadline to register is April 28 and the deadline to pay your fee is June 6.  If you are interested complete the application below:

Young Adults: Punkin Chunkin

Whether you know what Punkin Chunkin is or you have never heard of it, this is going to be a fun event for all. Come out and watch what people have built in the attempt to chuck a pumpkin as far as possible. It sounds silly, but it's incredible to see the creativity of the competitors. The event also features family-friendly festival activities like live music, face painting, pony rides, crafts, pumpkin patch and blow-up corn maze. We'll meet at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds at 12:30pm or at the Riverside parking to carpool at 12:00pm. The event is free to attend.

X Roundup

Join us for a good old time for the celebration of X with our roundup! We will gather the whole church together for a free BBQ lunch for the whole family. We will be cooking a side of beef and providing all the “fixins”! We will gather in the gym immediately after the service. The dress code for the day will be your best western wear. Hike

Bring your kids to HIKE! Parents, we want to offer you a place for your kids to hang while you go “take a hike” and have a date night, run errands, or just enjoy some down time together. Kids will have fun playing and enjoying planned activities while being supervised by children’s ministry volunteers. $5.00 per child fee will be charged to cover snacks and activity supplies. If successful, we will offer this ministry once a quarter. Our first night will be:

Young Adults: Francie's Hut Trip

For those seeking adventure, fellowship and a weekend away from the world the Francie’s Hut trip is for you. We’ll snowshoe in about 2 miles from the Spruce Creek Trailhead. This is a pack-in-pack-out adventure. Contact cmcallister@riversidedenver.com for more information.

From Breckenridge, take HWY 9 south. At the intersection of Main St. and S. Park Ave, note your mileage. Proceed south on HWY 9 ~2.3 miles. Turn right onto Spruce Creek Road and follow Spruce Creek Road through the Crown subdivision, bearing left at major intersections. Stay on Spruce Creek Road for ~1.2 miles. Park at the trailhead parking area marked with US Forest Service Signs. Please be aware that the road does not receive high priority on the county’s plowing schedule. From this parking area, there are various options to access Francie’s Cabin. Route options include Crystal Creek Road (STEEP ~1.8 miles) and the Spruce Creek Road to the Aqueduct Road to Crystal Road (~2.2 miles). Register below:

Thrive

THRIVE 2017 is a weekend of energetic worship services, community service projects, intense activities, with an intentional opportunity to strengthen your relationship with the Lord.

This year THRIVE will be held March 3-5, 2017 at Riverside Church.  All 7th - 12th grade students and their friends are welcome.

The total cost is only $50.00.  Students can secure their spot with a $25 deposit and pay the remaining $25 balance upon registration or students can pay the full amount when they sign up.
