Basecamp 2016

Basecamp 2016 is coming for all 7th-12th grade students!

Summer can be filled with so many great activities. But you don’t want to miss out on the best event of the year where you will have the time of your life hanging out with friends, competing in challenging activities, experience intense white water rafting, and much more, all the while being stretched daily with God’s Word.  Basecamp is life-changing, but only for those who are a part of it.

So, sign up now to secure your spot for Basecamp 2016. The cost for a week at Basecamp 2016, located in Grand Lake, CO is only $170 per student.

A parent meeting for all going to Basecamp 2016 will take place Sunday June 12th after the worship service.

Basecamp Scholarships Needed

Basecamp Scholarships Needed - For many students one of the defining markers in their spiritual journey is summer camp. The cost to attend camp is $170 per student. Unfortunately, many students are unable to afford this cost. We do not want money to hinder any student from missing out on an opportunity for them to respond to the Gospel. Would you consider providing a scholarship to cover the cost for a student to attend Basecamp that cannot afford it themselves. We need to raise $2,500 for students who cannot afford to go to camp. Please specify your gift to Riverside Student Ministry Basecamp. If you have any questions, contact Landis Elder at lelder@riversidedenver.com

Dry Bones - Young Adult Service Event

We will be connecting with Dry Bones, a local organization that works with homeless youth, for a Turf Tour. Denver has the third highest population of homeless youth, so this will be an opportunity for us to see what their lives look like. After we finish the Turf Tour, we are going to head to Civic Center Park to have lunch with the less fortunate. In order to do this, though, you will need to bring 3 lunches, one for you and two to share. Meet at the church at 10AM and we will carpool around town and should be done by 2P.
