Lighting of the Tree

Lighting of the Tree is a FREE Denver event to bring the community and the church together to celebrate Christmas with the lighting of a huge Christmas tree at the corner of I25 and 23rd street.

This event gathers the family and singles with 4 large inflatable slides, food trucks (sliders and funnel cakes), local coffee company and drinks (food and drink are for sale), a live band on the big stage, a petting zoo, carriage rides, and a holiday message from the senior pastor of Riverside Church, Dr. Tony Lambert.  The event runs from 6-8 pm with the lighting of the tree at 7:30pm. There will be over 5000 LED lights on the tree.  Join us for a new Denver Christmas Tradition!  Free parking at 2401 Alcott Street.

We are also partnering with Dry Bones to offer some help and relief as we approach the cold season. You can help these young people by donating sleeping bags and large backpacks. We’ll collect them at the event.
